As the purchasers of a house with Country Holmes in Glossop, our experience has been a wholly positive one. The staff have always been fully aware of exactly what is happening with our purchase. From the outset, they have been friendly, personable, knowledgeable and efficient. They gain information and return calls in a timely manner, are frank and straightforward, and yet clearly respect confidentiality. Consequently, we cannot recommend Country Holmes highly enough, they have made our moving experience much smoother and less stressful.

Tom has been fantastic in getting my property let. The ‘to let’ board and advertisement on Rightmove was done straightaway with no delays. I found his manner friendly and polite throughout the process and he sent all the information/ documents I required once a tenant was found. I would highly recommend using Country Holmes for letting purposes. You will have a very pleasant experience throughout the experience.

I cannot recommend Tom enough. His service and help is first class and throughout every process he is always there to help and advise promptly. Having dealt with a few estate agents over the years Tom is by fat the best.

An all-round excellent service. Mike provided a prompt valuation, which he backed up with plenty of local market evidence. The 3-D walkthrough is a great selling feature. Evie is a real star, keeping everyone informed and promptly chasing up anyone who might be slowing the process (such as my over-stretched solicitor)! More places should be as good as Country Holmes!

I’m not sure where to start as I honestly cannot say enough good things about country Holmes. We made a decision to sell our starter family home and ended up moving to our forever home, so having the right estate agent to help facilitate the process was crucial. We decided to get quotes from several agents. The online agent came out significantly cheaper but we were conscious of the fact that in life you generally get what you pay for. The fact that Country Holmes are one of the top sellers in the Glossop area also spoke volumes. We therefore made the decision to proceed with them and I can honestly say it was the best decision we made. In Mike (company director), you’d genuinely struggle to find a more professional (yet personable), efficient and responsive person to help sell your house. He even managed to find us our dream home! Nothing was ever too much effort for Mike- knowing how desperate we were to get our house on the market, he was up at the crack of dawn and rang me before I’d even rolled out of bed to go through the final details before we went live. Mike is also a pioneer in using state of the art technology which is unrivalled by any other local agent- the 3D walkthrough and doll house view are brilliant and really gave prospective buyers a true sense of perspective and the floor space on offer within our house. The girls in the office (initially Rochelle, then Evie) were equally brilliant and whenever anything needed chasing up they would do so immediately (despite the high demand caused by the SD holiday) and we were always kept promptly up to date with any developments. We are not planning to move again but if the situation arose we wouldn’t consider anyone other than Country Holmes. You should do the same- you won’t regret it.

Tom has acted as our agent in letting our house in Romiley while we have been working overseas for 8 years. Given that we needed someone we could trust while we were so far away, Tom has been excellent in every way. He has dealt with all the maintenance issues and taken the necessary steps to refresh the property when we had a change of tenant. He has sorted out any potential problems that we have had.
